Celebrating SSIS Students’ AP and IB Successes

We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of our students in the recent AP and IB exams. Their hard work, dedication, and resilience have truly paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments.

The recent SSIS AP and IB results highlight our students' determination as well as the unwavering support they have from our dedicated teachers and staff. Our students' hard work and excellent results have opened doors to incredible opportunities at some of the most prestigious universities around the world.

Achieving Excellence: Top Scores in IB Exams

This spring, 40 students took the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, achieving an impressive 100% pass rate. The SSIS students' average score was 34.89, significantly higher than the world average of 30.32. Seven of our students scored 40+ points, with the highest score being an outstanding 44 points.

"Seeing our students excel in the IB program is incredibly rewarding," said our High School IB/AP Coordinator, Tucker Barrows. 

AP Program Growth: Record-Breaking Success

With 241 Advanced Placement (AP) candidates, this year marked a nearly 80% increase in the number of students taking AP courses since 2020. As the program has grown, so too has the number of students earning top marks. This year, 95% of our AP students earned scores of 3 or higher, showcasing their exceptional aptitude and preparedness.

As the only school in Ho Chi Minh City to offer such a vast range of both AP courses and the full International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), students at SSIS have the unique opportunity to choose a diverse and rigorous academic pathway that is best suited to their goals and ambitions.
