We are beyond excited to celebrate our very own ES Technology Coach, Danai Maramba, for being named a Google Certified Innovator! This prestigious honor, awarded to only about 120 educators worldwide each year, highlights Mr. Maramba’s exceptional leadership and innovative spirit in using technology to elevate the learning experience.

Being named a Google Certified Innovator places Mr. Maramba in a global community of educators who are dedicated to transforming education through technology. The program is more than just a title; it’s a dynamic network where Mr. Maramba will collaborate with like-minded educators from around the world, all committed to driving change in education through cutting-edge technology and innovative thinking.

Promoting Deeper Understanding

Under the guidance of our principals and Director of Educational Technology, Mr. Don McNamee, Mr. Maramba and our divisional Instructional Coaches for Technology in Middle School and High School collaborate with teachers to ensure that technology is effectively used to promote deeper understanding and creativity.

Whether it is making technology more accessible to parents or helping students bring a storytelling project to life with multimedia elements, such as videos, sound effects, and interactive graphics, ES Instructional Coach for Technology, Mr. Maramba is dedicated to ensuring that technology is used to create immersive learning experiences that sparks students’ imagination and enhances their understanding.

Skills That Go Beyond the Classroom

Reflecting on the prestigious honor of being named a Google Certified Innovator, Mr. Maramba shared, “One thing I appreciate about my role is that technology is always changing. This creates opportunities for us to use it in new and better ways that were previously unimagined.”

In this activity students learned about coding a robot. They drew a shape and let their peers guess the shape and calculate the shape's area.

Whether it’s creating digital stories, collaborating on projects using online tools, or exploring new ways to present their ideas, our students are developing skills that go far beyond the classroom. With the help of educators like Mr. Maramba, our students are developing their creativity and critical thinking skills, becoming problem solvers, and responsible digital citizens.

As we celebrate this incredible achievement, we can’t wait to see the innovative projects and ideas that Mr. Maramba will bring to life next. As a school that leverages multiple platforms and technologies, and with leaders like Mr. Maramba leading the way, the future of education is bright at SSIS.
