Student Life

We are proud of our SSIS Dragons athletes! Known throughout the region for their ability, dedication, and sense of fair play, we seek to instill a lifelong interest in sports and fitness in our students.

Careful planning of activities, clubs, and athletics, ensures that students have the opportunity to pursue varied intellectual and physical passions

Our philosophy, to give students of all abilities the chance to nurture the essential life skills that come from challenging themselves physically and mentally, means that we strive to create enough teams for all who want to participate.

Throughout the year, SSIS Dragons compete against other international schools in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding countries in basketball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, swimming, cross country, and track & field

A founding member of the Mekong River International Schools Association (MRISA), SSIS provides multiple opportunities for middle and high school Dragons athletes to participate in regional athletic and cultural exchanges in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

We are also proud to be the only school in Vietnam to be a member of the South East Asia Student Activities Conference (SEASAC). SEASAC hosts 24 events at 16 schools throughout the region, including Model United Nations and other cultural and art exchanges, in addition to a wide range of athletics competitions for high school students.

SSIS also belongs to Saigon International Schools Athletic Conference (SISAC), a local inter-school league with over 15 schools.
