[G9] WWW Accommodation Update (January 9)
Elisia Brodeur
Dear Grade 9 Parents and Students,
I am writing to inform you of an accommodation change for our upcoming Week Without Walls trip.
One of the resorts we had planned to stay at, the Orchard Home Resort, was suddenly sold during the break. The new owner closed the property for renovations, requiring us to find a new location.
After carefully reviewing several other options with Asia Motions, we are pleased to share that we will instead stay at our Madagui site, Madagui Forest City, which we have used before and know well. This location is safe, licensed, and close to our activities in Nam Cat Tien National Park. It offers the same facilities for our students, including:
- Clean sleeping areas
- Showers and restrooms
- Approved dining facilities
- Safe spaces for rest and group time
Updated Accommodation Plan:
- Half of the students will stay at Ta Lai Longhouse (as planned)
- The other half of the group will stay at Madagui Forest City* (new accommodation)
- Students will switch locations on Wednesday (as planned)
*Please note that while the website shows other activities and room options, our students will only be eating and sleeping at this resort. They will stay in the Shared Rooms (groups of approximately 4 students per room with A/C and private bathroom and shower facilities in each room).
All other trip activities and locations will not change. The only difference is slightly longer travel time on the day students move between the two locations. All experiences, supervision, and safety plans remain the same.
Please make sure your child’s health information is up to date in the Magnus Health system.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me or Dr. Jessica Maley, our HS Week Without Walls Coordinator. We are happy to support you.
We look forward to a safe, meaningful, and enjoyable trip for all students.
Kind regards,
Chad McGartlin
