Dear SSIS Fifth Grade Parents,

We are excited to share information about our upcoming field trip to Cần Giờ for our Ecosystems field trip on February 21-23, 2024. This trip will involve an overnight stay at Phuong Nam Pearl Resort. Overnight trips are often the highlight of a student’s fifth grade year, and our trip to Cần Giờ will be no exception. We will explore the mangrove forest and the impact of human activities on the ecosystem. The trip will be the cornerstone of our ecosystem unit as scientists. Fourteen SSIS staff will join the fifth grade on this trip.

We would like to invite parents to an informational meeting about our trip to Cần Giờ on Friday, 12th January at 2:15 pm in the Auditorium. The meeting will provide you with an opportunity to get much more information about the trip, and to ask any other questions you may have.

We have also included a packing list* so you can begin to think about items that you may want to gather for the trip.

If you have any questions you would like us to address at the meeting, please add them to this form, and we will do our best to address them during the meeting.

The Fifth Grade Team
