[G9-12] January 16 Parent Partnership: What Does “College Preparatory” Mean at SSIS?
Elisia Brodeur

Dear High School Parents,

The SSIS Mission specifies our important role as a “college preparatory” school. But what does “college preparatory” actually look like at SSIS? We invite you to explore this topic with us at our upcoming Parent Partnership session at 8:15 am on Friday, January 16, in MPR 4

During this session, we’ll discuss how being a college preparatory school extends well beyond supporting students through the college application and admissions process. It is our responsibility to ensure that every learning experience we provide prepares students for success in higher education, wherever they choose to go.

We’ll explain how SSIS helps students develop the academic skills, organizational habits, and personal attributes essential for success at university. Most importantly, we will explore how strong partnerships between home and school are vital to nurturing these skills, ensuring that every SSIS graduate walks through the gates of their chosen university prepared, confident, and ready for the challenges ahead.

We value your role as our partners in your child’s educational journey and look forward to meaningful conversations and shared insights during this session.

Thank you for your continued support of SSIS. We hope to see you on January 16.

Sincerely,

Dan Smith
High School Principal
