Dear High School Parents and Guardians,

The high school teachers and I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, March 28, and Friday, March 29

Conference Details

  • Thursday, March 28   4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

  • Friday, March 29         8:00 am – 12:00 pm

  • Conferences will take place in the high school gym in an open “arena style” format*

  • Conferences happen on a first come, first served basis

Why Do We Have Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences?

Individual conferences between parents, students, and teachers support your child’s academic progress and development at SSIS.

During each conference, your child’s teacher will speak about your child’s academic progress, identifying areas they can focus on as well as goals and next steps for improvement before the end of the year.

Using the feedback from teachers during these conferences helps your child continue to grow and learn through the rest of the semester. This is why parents and students should make it a priority to attend the upcoming conferences.

How Do Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences Work?

  • Parents and students attend the conferences together

  • Each conference lasts for 8 minutes

  • Parents and students can come to school for their conferences anytime on either of the two conference days (see dates and times above)

  • To ensure that wait times are not too long, we suggest that families follow the following alphabetical assignments:

Thursday, March 28 - Families whose surname begins with N through Z

Friday, March 29 - Families whose surname begins with A through M

*Please note: due to the large number of conferences, we cannot offer translation services. We encourage students to help with translation as needed.

When Will I Receive My Child’s Progress Report?

Your child’s mid-semester progress report will be emailed to you on Wednesday, March 27 at 4:00 pm. The grades in this report are grades in progress. These grades will not show on your child’s Final Semester 2 Report Card to be published in June.

We look forward to meeting with you and your child to discuss your child’s learning.

All my very best,

Ms. Jennifer Mendes
High School Principal
