Dear Parents of Grade 12 Students,

We are looking forward to the upcoming Senior Week Without Walls: Residency Week. As is customary for Grade 12, students will remain on campus and around Ho Chi Minh City for the week, engaging in a series of intentionally designed experiences that support connection, reflection, and celebration as they approach the end of their SSIS journey.

Throughout the week, students will focus on the following:

  • Local Excursions and Experiences: Through a variety of local excursions, students will have opportunities to bond as a class, strengthen relationships, and create lasting shared memories.

  • Community Service: Students will engage in the SSIS core value of Dedicated Service by giving back to the community through meaningful, age-appropriate service projects.

  • Gratitude and Closure: Students will reflect on the people and places that have shaped their experience at SSIS and find ways to express appreciation and closure as they prepare for their next chapter.

Planned experiences for the week include:

  • A waterpark excursion
  • Service visits to local charities
  • A hop-on/hop-off city bus tour and photo walk
  • A dinner cruise
  • A neighborhood walk with their Grade 2 buddies
  • A lock-in sleepover on campus

(Click here for the full, tentative itinerary. Please note that some details of the activities may still change.)

This email is being sent with the Week Without Walls consent form, which we ask you to review and return by this Friday, January 9.

We are excited to offer this meaningful and memorable experience for our graduating seniors and appreciate your continued partnership as we support them during this important transition.

In partnership,

Dr. Jessica Maley
HS Week Without Walls Coordinator
