Why Do We Hold Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences?
These meetings help support your child’s academic progress and personal growth at SSIS.
During each conference, teachers will:
- Share your child’s current academic progress
- Highlight strengths
- Identify areas they can focus on
- Set clear goals and next steps for the rest of the semester
The feedback shared during conferences helps students continue to grow and learn before the end of the school year. We strongly encourage both you and your child to attend.
How Do the Conferences Work?
- Parents and students attend together
- Each conference lasts 8 minutes
- You can come attend anytime between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm
*Please note: Because of the large number of families attending, we are not able to provide translation services. If needed, students are encouraged to help with translation.
When Will Progress Reports Be Available?
Your child’s semester progress report will be available on PowerSchool on Monday, March 16, at 4:00 pm.
Please note that these are grades in progress. They show your child’s current performance and do not appear on the final Semester 2 report card, which will be issued in June.
We look forward to meeting with you and your child to discuss their learning and next steps.
Sincerely,
Mr. Daniel Smith
High School Principal
