[G11] Introducing Meto: A New Tool for Global University Discovery
Elisia Brodeur
Dear Grade 11 Students and Parents,
We are excited to announce that on April 23, the SSIS Counseling Team will introduce our Grade 11 students to Meto during Advisory class.
Meto is a nonprofit platform designed to increase student visibility. By creating a profile that highlights their academic interests and strengths, students can be discovered directly by universities seeking their specific profile—often leading to connections that might otherwise go overlooked, as well as potential scholarship opportunities.
This partnership complements our existing counseling program by:
- Global Reach: Expanding awareness of high-quality universities across the globe
- Strategic Discovery: Exploring exceptional programs beyond the traditional pathways
- Increased Visibility: Connecting SSIS students to institutions worldwide
Next Steps
There is no cost to use Meto. Our counselors will guide students through the onboarding process and provide detailed information about consent and how to build their profile during the upcoming Advisory class.
We are committed to providing our students with a personalized and globally-minded search process, and we believe Meto is a valuable addition to that journey.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Warmly,
Katie Freeman
Director of High School Counseling & University Guidance
on behalf of the High School Counseling Team
