[G11] Get Ready! Grade 11 Week Without Walls Starts Monday

Dear Grade 11 Parents and Students,

Our Week Without Walls trips are next week! On Monday and Tuesday, grade 11 students should be at SSIS at 8:00 am, wearing their regular or PE uniform and closed-toe shoes, and ready for a great week. 

Students, on Wednesday, January 21, please: 

  • Arrive at SSIS by 8:00 am, on time, ready to depart for our Week Without Walls trip by 9:00 am.
  • Check that you have packed all items on the packing list 
  • Listen intently and politely to all instructions and be on your absolute best behavior, so that we may move efficiently and safely together

Parents, please:

  • Make sure any medication your child needs is properly labeled and that you give it to the nurse before the students leave on Wednesday. 
  • Check the updates posted on the Parent Portal by the end of each day.
  • Access AsiaMotions’ photos by the following day. You can see these photos during the week and up to 30 days after the trip using the following link and password:
  • We will return to school on Friday, January 23, at around 1:00 pm. Please pick up your child at that time.

    • Contacting Ms. Thao is the fastest way to reach our trip leaders, Asia Motions staff, or iSOS nurses during the day, when we are out with students.
  • After working hours (4:00 pm - 7:30 am)
    • Call 028 3622 0870, ext. 33060 (to reach Dr. Maley, Mr. McGartlin, or Mr. Smith directly).
    • Note: This extension is only active between 4:00 pm and 7:30 am and should be used ONLY in an emergency.

Our students and faculty are extremely excited for this year’s Week Without Walls experiences. We are ready to engage in experiential and service-based learning and to develop an even stronger sense of community within their grade and house groups.
