Dear Parents or Guardians of Grade 10 Students,

As High School Principal, it is my pleasure to share with you an upcoming opportunity to learn more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), a unique, two-year academic pathway available to students entering Grade 11. You and your child are invited to this important information session on Tuesday, November 18, at 6:00 pm in the Blackbox Theater (MS Building), to gain a better understanding of the IB Diploma at SSIS.

This session will provide Grade 10 students and parents with an in-depth overview of the IB Programme, which emphasizes research, critical thinking, and self-management skills with a variety of assessment types to support student learning. We will explain the IB Core and provide additional details to help parents and students understand this comprehensive academic program.

You will also have an opportunity to hear from IB teachers and IB students who will share their IBDP experiences.

To ensure your child understands the options available to them and can make the most informed decisions for Grade 11, please plan to attend this important session on Tuesday, November 18.

Sincerely,

Dan Smith
High School Principal
