Dear ES Parents,
I hope that you have enjoyed a lovely Spring Break!
The work of assigning students to classes for the 2026-2027 school year will soon begin.
Our highest priority is balance in our classes. We do this based on several factors, such as:
- class size
- gender
- academic levels
- behavioral factors
- student support needs
- social interactions
As a parent, you have unique insights about your child that can be helpful to us as we work to make our classes as balanced as possible based on the factors above.
If you would like to share specific information about your child that you think we should consider, please complete our Parent Input Form before Friday, April 24.

As we begin planning for our 2026-2027 class placements, we invite you to share unique insights about your child’s needs. To help us ensure balanced classrooms, please submit the Parent Input Form by Friday, April 24.
Grade 5 parents and students, your child will be selecting their elective courses for Grade 6 on Thursday, March 5, at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. Before then, we ask that you explore the 26-27 Program of Studies and watch the elective videos so you are ready to make those selections.
