Our School

We invite and encourage parents to be an active part of their child’s SSIS experience. Whether as members of our strategic planning committee, participants in our new administration interviews or organizing fun community-building activities like Family Fun Day, International Day or Family movie nights, our parents are an integral and valued part of our community.

In our Parent Education series, internal and external experts cover a range of interesting topics from parenting and assessment to managing technology and strategies for improving your family’s social-emotional health.

Parent Teacher Association

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) gives families an opportunity to get to know each other in an informal setting, while contributing to creating an even better school environment for their children.

Our diverse community of nearly 50 nationalities is a culturally enriching environment that promotes awareness of diversity and fosters inclusion.

Annual PTA Events

  • PTA Coffee Mornings – twice a year, the PTA invites all parents to come socialize with other parents and get updates on what’s happening at SSIS from the PTA and school administration.
  • Family Fun Day – a fun-filled event with food, games, and activities for all ages, here on our very own campus!
  • International Week - parent volunteers invite students to learn more about the various cultures represented at our school, with arts and crafts stands and activities from different countries.
  • ES Sports Day - a combination of competitive and non-competitive games and activities for all ages, our expansive fields become a venue for laughing, splashing, and running!
  • Tree Lighting & Charity Bazaar - a treasured pre-Winter break celebration in our open Plaza.
  • PTA Clubs - with something for everyone, PTA clubs include clubs like Saigon Explore, Luncheon Club, Basic Conversational Vietnamese Class, Badminton, Book Club, and Cooking Club. These clubs are a way for parents to get involved and meet each other.
