Welcome from the Head of School

We aspire to be the school that opens the greatest possible number of doors and windows to each student’s future.

Head of School

Welcome to the online home of Saigon South International School. Whether you are a parent looking for the right fit for your school-aged child, a self-starting student looking at options in Ho Chi Minh City, a teacher looking for like-minded, passionate educators with whom to share your voice and talents in working together, or just an explorer on the web, we are happy to share a glimpse into our community.

At SSIS we begin with the Core Values that bind us together: the pursuit of Academic Excellence, a grounding in a Sense of Self, a commitment to Dedicated Service, striving for a Balance in Life, and a heartfelt Respect for All. These values unite us as a school and are at the heart of everything we do.

We are committed to the intellectual and personal development of each student, and we believe that our values will help prepare them for a purpose-driven life as a member of an increasingly globalized society. We believe that a rigorous and challenging academic program is an essential preparation for the top colleges and universities around the world. At the same time, we are just as aware that international communities can be transient and we recognize the importance of offering a program which allows for the successful transition for our students to other elementary and secondary schools around the globe.

Saigon South International School is fortunate in the way its founders had the foresight to develop a beautiful suburban campus with large, grassy fields and purpose-built buildings. As important as facilities are to a school, though, our greatest asset is the quality of those who inhabit our school. Our faculty are carefully selected for their ability to inspire students with individualized attention and their commitment to school life outside the classroom. We are just as proud of our students and their commitment to their own education and learning. They work hard, play hard, and grow in their understanding of the world of possibilities and adventures which lie ahead.

If you believe that SSIS might be a good place to study, please contact the Admissions Office with your questions about our school, our academic program and our community. If you are a teacher looking for a place that shares your passions and values and are looking to make a difference in the lives of students, please contact us with your materials. We welcome you all to visit SSIS, take a tour, and see for yourself the quality of our programs, the caliber of our teachers, and the caring, committed nature of our community.
