Reading Week Sets Record!

Last week SSIS celebrated Reading Week across all divisions. School-wide efforts in providing extra silent reading time brought our RAP-ometer to an all time record of 1,820 minutes! The ES kids were delighted in singing the "Catch the Reading Bug" song all week as they found the little critters hiding all over the school. All in all, it was a lot of fun for everyone, as each day we celebrated reading, whether it was favorite books, poetry or bedtime stories in our cozy pajamas! The highlight was the culminating assembly with a special version of Goldilocks - a reality show make over of the three bears' house, played by talented teachers for sheer entertainment value. Once again the kids heard, "Reading your 'just right' level book is 'just right' for you!" Thanks to all who helped making Reading Week a success!
