Grade 3 Spring Concert

On Wednesday, April 28th, the third grade presented a concert to the SSIS community. They performed a host of songs that included every student singing, dancing and playing instrumental accompaniments. Some of the highlights included a song from Hawaii called Epo I Tai Tai which featured Ms. Wolslegel's class playing percussion; a song with recorders and xylophones led by students of Mrs. Markowitz's class called All Through the Night; Sarasponda from Holland that had Ms. Yoshizuka's students providing the beat with drums and other instruments; a song from Ghana called Sansa Kroma that got all of the 3rd grade teachers involved and included Ms. Taoli on the piano while the students sang two vocal parts. The children also repeated the song Together We Can Change the World which the elementary school learned for International Week.
The next performance will be on May 13th when the 4th grade takes the stage. Come, hear and see the wonderful things that are happening in music in the elementary school!
