A Healthy Environment at SSIS
September 21, 2009
As SSIS is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff, we have been carefully monitoring student illness. When there have been ‘pockets’ of students sick with flu-like symptoms, as a precautionary measure, classes or grades of students have been asked to stay home for a set period of time.
Temperatures of students in Early Childhood 3 through Grade 2 have been taken at the beginning of the day since the school year started. Starting September 23rd, all children and adults entering SSIS will have their temperatures taken.
Thank you for your patience as this process is implemented. The health and safety of our school community is a priority.
