Laptop Requirements - High School

When you bring your laptop to school there are some requirements that you must meet:

• Operating System, with license, in English language.
• Office Suite with license, in English language.
  • Microsoft Office^© 2007/2008, with license, in English language or,
  • Libre Office 3.3 or above
• Antivirus protection, fully up-to-date, with license, in English language.
• Minimum of 3 hours battery life, the laptop must have its battery fully charged at the start of each school day.

Our network infrastructure is designed for Windows^© Professional or higher. While we do not enforce this, our technical support is provided on a "best effort" basis.

Software Requirements

Saigon South International School network is based on Microsoft Windows. The SSIS Software Package is therefore oriented towards Windows operating systems.

While we attempt to accommodate other platforms, if you choose to use a laptop without Microsoft Windows, it is your responsibility to locate and legally acquire software that will meet the demands of all educational technology usage at SSIS.

Software Licensing

Saigon South International School has made a commitment to use legal software. Software piracy is illegal.

It is expected that all software that you use for school-related activities is fully licensed.
