Information Technology

Students are introduced to computers, audio-visual equipment, tape recorders, and other forms of technology in early childhood classrooms. Throughout the elementary grades students use technology in developmentally-appropriate ways to support and enhance their classroom learning.

Computers are integrated into the classroom environment and used to support the ongoing curriculum in math, writing, and topic studies.  Students develop computer literacy and an understanding of the ethics involved in the use of technology. Computers are located in elementary classroom, as well as in the Elementary Computer Lab for students to use for projects, word processing and research.

Host Country Studies

The Vietnamese Studies program emphasizes an understanding and appreciation of the Vietnamese language, culture, and people. Vocabulary and phrasing chosen for instruction are planned to help students’ entry into the local culture and to enhance their living in the host country.

Throughout the program, the integration of the processes of listening, speaking, reading and writing is stressed. The Vietnamese Social and Cultural Learning Program is related to the elementary social studies program to help coordinate and reinforce the knowledge gained in both programs.
