Science Goals
Fifth grade students use the process of the scientific method to investigate and inquire. Through exploration, research and investigation they are able to use evidence to draw conclusions. Grade five students study topics in the areas of life science, physical science, and Earth and space science.Resources:

Students who successfully complete the grade five science program will:
- Investigate biospheres (plant and animal environments)
- Investigate how forces produce changes in the motion and speed of objects
- Explore mixtures and solutions
- Use the scientific method
- Use a microscope for observation and identification
- Report on findings using writing and images
- Compare and analyze data
- Use graphs to explain data
