Science Goals
Fourth grade students use the process of the scientific method to investigate and inquire. Through exploration, research and investigation they are able to use evidence to draw conclusions. Grade four students study topics in the areas of life science, physical science, and Earth and space science.Resources:

Students who successfully complete the grade four science program will:
- Investigate animal and food chains
- Investigate survival mechanisms
- Explore different types of rainforests
- Investigate weather, climate and the water cycle
- Explore forces of motion and electricity
- Use the scientific method
- Use a microscope for observation and identification
- Report on findings using writing and images
- Compare and analyze data
- Use graphs to explain data
