Science Goals
Third grade students use the process of inquiry and research to explore science. The grade three science program includes the following topics of study: human body, chemical tests, Earth's materials. Students discuss, observe and conduct experiments as they develop their understanding of the scientific method.Resources:

Students who successfully complete the grade three science program will:
- Investigate how each human body form relates to function
- Explore and research the earth's materials
- Investigate how materials respond to change
- Use the scientific method
- Use a microscope for observation and identification
- Report on findings using writing and images
- Compare and analyze data
- Use graphs to explain data
