Saigon South International School Admissions Process

• All families applying for admission should contact the Admissions Office to request an application packet and to initiate the admissions process.
• Before an application will be considered, all documents and materials must be completed and received. Application materials include:
• Application (including two passport-size photos and business card)
• Official transcripts and / or Report Cards (translated to English, if necessary)
• Copies of passport front page and visa for student and parents
• Application fee of $300 USD

• The Admissions Committee will screen all completed applications to determine the applicant's suitability and likelihood of success in the SSIS academic program.
• Further, English language proficiency, previous school records, and national balance in each grade will be considered.
• Additionally, applicants who are not native speakers of English will be assessed to determine proficiency. (Only a limited number of ESL students may be admitted to each class.)
• If the applicant meets the language proficiency criteria and space is available, an interview will be scheduled by the Admissions Office. It is important for both parents to be present at the interview when possible.

• Once a decision is made by the Admissions Committee, parents will be contacted immediately. Students who are accepted must complete the following before admission to the school is complete and the new student is able to begin attending classes:
• Parents sign the letter of acceptance from the Admissions Office
• Health forms, medical records, and physical exam are completed and forms returned to the Admissions Office
• Tuition and fees are paid (keep the banking receipt of payment)
• Parents complete registration forms for busing, if necessary
• As a general rule, once a student is accepted it takes about one week to complete all the necessary paperwork.
