Letter from Head of School
Thank you for your interest in Saigon South International School and welcome to our website. I trust that you will find the information you need to make an informed decision about whether SSIS is the right match for your child and family.
The SSIS community comes from diverse cultural and national backgrounds, but we share a commitment to the school’s core values of Academic Excellence, Sense of Self, Dedicated Service, Balance in Life, and Respect for All. These values unite the school community and are at the center of all learning experiences. We are committed to the intellectual and personal development of each student; and our core values, we believe, prepare all students for a purposeful life as a global citizen.
Our academic program is strong, and our graduates have entered competitive universities worldwide. Students who transfer to other elementary or secondary schools, either back home or abroad, typically experience a successful transition due to their academic preparation and international experience at SSIS. Our standards are high, and our students tend to continue to do well after leaving us.
SSIS has a beautiful suburban campus, and our facilities are first-rate. However, our greatest asset is our teaching faculty. Their teaching is inspiring, student-centered and individualized; and their involvement in coaching and co-curricular activities provides unique opportunities for students to excel in the arts, athletics, student government and service learning. SSIS teachers draw the very best from each of their students every day, and they strive to ensure that each child experiences learning, achievement and success.
Thank you again for considering SSIS. Please contact the Admissions Office with any questions you might have about our school, academic program, or community. We welcome you to visit the school, take a tour and see for yourself the quality of our programs, the caliber of our teachers and the caring, committed nature of our community.
Best wishes to you and your family.
